3 the Hard Way

Trevor Bauer was the 3rd over all pick for the D'Backs out of UCLA.

We’ve had a Jason Kubel sighting.

The newly acquired Jason Kubel, who came over to the Arizona Diamondbacks after a couple of less than stellar seasons in Minnesota decided to play on Saturday. Kubel went 3/4 with 2 HRs and a triple. Probably couldn’t have done that again if he tried. He added 3 RBI and helped the D’Backs defeat Texas in Surprise, AZ. Surprise!

The man he is in a dead heat for in playing time, Geraldo Parra, went 2/4 with 2 runs scored and a stolen base.

Ian Kinsler former, ASU Sun Devil, went 3/4 with 3 runs scored.

Sticking with the theme of threes (March Madness basketball has me both pissed off and loving the 3), Joe Saunders pitched 3 innings and gave up 3 runs. Not good. Texas reliever Koji Uehara pitched 1 inning and gave up 3 runs. Triple-y not good. Is triply a word?

For what it’s worth, the Red Sox and Orioles tied in ten innings, 3-3.

#….. and an update…. final, 10 innings in the night game…. SF Giants 3, LA Angels 3. Brandon Belt, 3RBI.

I swear I wasn’t looking for these threes. They each hit me right in the face. Oh, BTW, March Madness… Baylor, the #3 seed, dude from there hit 9 threes tonight.
